1. Introduction

PreconIntel (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the PreconIntel platform (the “Service”), an AI-powered construction estimating intelligence platform for general contractors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. PreconIntel is a Texas-based company.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, company name, job title, and phone number. If you sign in via Google OAuth, we receive your name and email from Google.

2.2 Company & Project Data

You may provide construction project information including project names, addresses, bid data, cost estimates, subcontractor records, scope documents, and related construction documents.

2.3 Documents

You may upload bid documents (PDFs, spreadsheets, emails), plan sheets, specifications, and other construction documents for AI processing.

2.4 Usage Data

We automatically collect device information, browser type, IP address, pages visited, feature usage patterns, and timestamps to improve the Service.

2.5 Billing Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. Stripe may collect billing name, address, and payment method details per their own privacy policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Process bid documents using AI (Google Gemini) to extract structured data
  • Classify documents and extract scope, pricing, and subcontractor information
  • Generate cost benchmarks and analytics
  • Integrate with third-party services you authorize (Procore, Gmail)
  • Process subscription payments via Stripe
  • Send transactional emails via Resend (bid notifications, account updates)
  • Improve the Service through aggregated, anonymized usage analysis
  • Respond to support requests and communicate about your account

4. AI Processing & Third-Party Services

When you submit documents for AI parsing, document content is sent to Google’s Gemini API for processing. Google processes this data per their Cloud terms. We send only the document content necessary for extraction.

We integrate with the following services:

  • Google (Gemini AI): Document parsing and classification
  • Procore: Project, vendor, and cost data synchronization (OAuth authorized by you)
  • Stripe: Subscription billing and payment processing
  • Resend: Transactional email delivery
  • Supabase: Database hosting and document storage

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do NOT sell your data. Period.

We do NOT share individual bid data, pricing information, or subcontractor relationships between companies. Your competitive intelligence stays yours.

Anonymized Benchmarks: We may use anonymized, aggregated data from across our customer base to generate industry cost benchmarks (e.g., “average concrete cost per SF in the DFW market”). No individual company, project, or bid can be identified from benchmark data. Enterprise customers may opt out of contributing to anonymized benchmarks.

We may disclose information:

  • To comply with legal obligations or valid legal process
  • To protect the rights, privacy, safety, or property of PreconIntel, our users, or the public
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice)

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL database) with documents in Supabase Storage. We implement row-level security (RLS) with 400+ security policies ensuring complete tenant isolation. Each organization’s data is logically separated at the database level.

We use encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and follow industry-standard security practices. Access to production data is restricted and audited.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data and associated project data for the duration of your active subscription. Upon account closure or cancellation, we retain your data for 90 days to allow for reactivation. After the 90-day retention period, data is permanently deleted.

You may request data export at any time through the Service settings or by contacting us.

8. Your Rights

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction: Update inaccurate personal information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Export: Download your data in a standard format
  • Opt-out: Enterprise customers can opt out of anonymized benchmark contributions

9. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use analytics cookies to understand Service usage. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Service is a B2B platform designed for construction professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
