Built inside a GC. Not pitched at one.
PreconIntel started as a side project inside a Texas general contractor. Every feature shipped because an estimator on bid day needed it to stop losing hours — and every feature we didn’t ship, we didn’t need.
Why we built this
Our estimators were copy-pasting PDFs into spreadsheets at 11pm on Thursday nights. We tried every tool on the market — built for project managers, built in 2005, built as an ERP add-on. So we built our own.
What we believe
- AI should do the boring parts. Parsing, classifying, routing, summarizing. Humans still level the bid and pick the winner.
- Integrations are the product. Procore, Gmail, Box — your workflow already exists. Software that asks you to abandon it is software you’ll abandon.
- Benchmarks compound. Every bid you parse makes your next estimate smarter. The moat is your own history, not our cleverness.
- Security is the floor. Not a feature, not an upsell. Multi-tenant isolation is in the database, not just in the hope nobody finds a bug.
Where we’re headed
