Subcontractor Intelligence

Stop awarding on price alone. Start awarding on data.

PreconIntel builds a live profile for every sub you work with — bid history, win rate, CO frequency, prequalification, CSI coverage — and surfaces new subs from live permit data in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, and Houston.

What lives in every sub profile

Bid history and win rate

Every bid they’ve submitted to you, by project and division, with win/loss outcomes and price position vs. other bidders.

Change-order risk

Frequency and dollar-weight of COs on past awards, pulled from Procore, so you know who runs clean and who doesn’t.

Prequalification status

Track insurance, licenses, bonds, and certifications (MBE/WBE/DBE/HUB) with expiry dates and automated nudges.

CSI coverage

Divisions and subdivisions they actually bid — not just the trade they put on their website. Derived from real history.

Permit-driven discovery

Subs we find from live permit filings in Texas metros. Active permit count, total permit value, and first/last permit dates help you spot hungry new names.

Recommendations ranked for you

When you build an ITB list, we rank subs by CSI fit, win rate on this project type, and response history. You pick the bidder list. The algorithm shows its work.

Texas coverage today. Your market next.

Live permit scraping for Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, and Houston shipped first because our design partners bid there. New metros roll out by customer demand — if you bid outside Texas, tell us where and we'll build for it.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the bid history data come from?

Your own history first. PreconIntel starts tracking from day one and backfills from any bids you import, so within weeks you have a performance profile on every sub you work with. For new subs, permit-driven discovery and third-party prequalification sources seed the baseline.

Which cities have permit coverage today?

Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, and Houston. Live scrapers update daily, surfacing new subs the moment they file. Additional metros are added by customer demand — if you bid somewhere not covered, tell us and we'll prioritize it.

How is CO risk calculated?

Change-order risk combines frequency (how often a sub's awarded jobs generate COs) and dollar weight (what percentage of the original commitment the COs total). Data comes from Procore commitment and change-order sync, so the score reflects your actual experience, not a vendor's marketing.

Can I track MBE, WBE, DBE, and HUB certifications?

Yes. Prequalification tracking covers MBE, WBE, DBE, HUB, SBA 8(a), SDVOSB, and union status with certification numbers and expiry dates. Certifications approaching expiry trigger configurable nudges.

How do sub recommendations for ITB compare to a rolodex?

A rolodex is who you've worked with. PreconIntel's recommendations also include who bids reliably in this CSI division, who wins on this project type, and who responds. The ranking is explainable — every recommendation shows the data behind it.

What happens if a permit-discovered sub already exists in our directory?

The system detects likely matches using normalized company names, phone numbers, and license IDs. Matches above the confidence threshold auto-merge; ambiguous matches land in a review queue so you decide whether they're the same sub.
